Club Info

White Tiger -known martial art sport of Taekwondo, to the inner city region of Sydney.  This club falls under the guidance of Australia’Korean Martial Arts was established in 2009 to deliver the unique Korean Sword Art “Haidong Gumdo”, alongside the betters Master Jung Il Oh (president of the Australian Haidong Gumdo Association), and also under Master Andrew Johnston (president of Haidong Gumdo NSW and Head Instructor of Mountain Wolves Taekwondo).

Senior Instructor Kristen Mann has over 13 years of Martial Arts experience, and has taught successfully for several years as part of Mountain Wolves Taekwondo in the Blue Mountains (White Tiger Korean Martial Arts is a branch club of Mountain Wolves Taekwondo).

Today, White Tiger operates out of serveral locations within Sydney’s inner west all located within easy distance of parking and public transport.

Tuesdays  – (Glebe)

  • 4.30-5.15pm Taekwondo  Ninjas, (ages 4 – 9yrs). – currently awaiting four more students
  • 5.15-6pm Taekwondo Commandos (9-13 years)
  •  6-7pm Haidong Gumdo
  • 7-8pm Taekwondo
  • 8-9pm Advanced Taekwondo

Thursdays - (Annandale):

New classes opening Term 2

  • 7.30-8.30 Haidong Gumdo

Saturdays (Redfern)

  •  2-3pm Advanced Junior Taekwondo
  • 3 – 4.30 WTF sports Taekwondo
  • 4.30-5.30 Advanced Haidong Gumdo

First two classes are FREE trials.

After their two free classes all students must be registered with either Taekwondo Australia or the Haidong Gumdo Association (depending upon which style you are joining).

Current Promotions:

“Early Bird” discount

Students who sign up before March 31st get 25% off their forst term’s fees.

‘Bring a Friend’ promotion

Any student who brings a friend to class will receive 2 entries to enter into a raffle (drawn in June) for a bamboo sparring sword (Haidong Gumdo), or for a full set of arm and leg guards (Taekwondo).  Should their friend sign up to classes after two trials, both students will receive 10% off their class fees for two whole terms.  (This promotion also applies to two new students who sign up together).

‘Student’ Promotion (permanent promotion)

Full-time university students are entitled to a 40% discount on their term fees. (students must show valid full-time student card to be eligible for this promotion)

‘Family’ Promotion (permanent promotion)

Haidong Gumdo or Taekwondo (1 class per week)

  • 2 people:             5% off
  • 3 people:             10% off
  • 4 people:            15% off

Combined Haidong Gumdo and Taekwondo (i.e. 2 classes per week)

Anyone who wishes to train in both Haidong Gumdo and Taekwondo (that is, they are committing to two classes a week of training) will be eligible to train at the discounted rate of  $10

Important dates for Term 1 2011

* Term 1 starts Tuesday 25th January , 2011
* Haidong Gumdo grading 2nd April, 2011
* Taekwondo grading Coloured Belts and Black Belts 3rd Apil, 2011

*Term 1 ends 7th April 2011

Catch up classes Christmas holidays

All WTKMA students are offered 2 free classes during the January school holidays. These classes are offered as an opportunity for students to catch up on any missed classes.

Free holiday classes will be offered on the 11th and 18th January, at the same times as normal classes (6pm for Haidong Gumdo, 7pm for Taekwondo).

If the weather permits, these classes will be held outside, at Jubilee Park, Glebe.
